## What are dermal fillers? Dermal fillers can plump out lines and wrinkles, sculpt and lift the face, and enhance the look of the lips. When administered by a skilled aesthetician , they provide a subtle and natural-looking effect. During a dermal filler treatment, hyaluronic acid gel is injected under the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance produced by the body that keeps the skin looking plump and healthy. The effects usually last for 6 months, you will need to repeat the treatment if you want to maintain the effect. Results can be seen straight after your treatment. Please bear in mind that you might have some slight swelling or bruising after your treatment. Your therapist will discuss results and side effects with you at your initial consultation. ## What is the after care?
